INTRODUCTION

The Glenthorne Management Service has been specially designed to take the worry out of letting your property when you are abroad. We take care of everything involved in the day-to-day running of the property during the entire term of the tenancy. We currently manage hundreds of properties for landlords who are overseas. Many of these we have looked after for over 15 years. Full references available for your inspection. In addition to the undertakings provided by our letting service, our fully comprehensive management service includes the following:

REGULAR PROPERTY INSPECTIONS

Glenthorne will arrange property inspections on an eight-weekly basis. On each occasion a full report will be submitted to you.

MAINTENANCE SERVICE

We will arrange for any repairs to be made, obtaining estimates wherever necessary (if you require us to use the services of any particular contractor such details must be submitted on the management form provided). Major maintenance work (usually costing more than £50) will be submitted to you for your approval.

RENT COLLECTION

We will collect all rent. If you would like the money to be remitted directly to your bank or building society in the United Kingdom, provide full details.

PAYMENT OF BILLS AND REGULAR OUTGOINGS

If requested, we will arrange for payment of all regular outgoings relating to the property such as water rates etc. Please submit full details of the relevant authorities.

UTILITIES

Access arranged for all meter inspections etc.

ADVICE

Free comprehensive advice on taxation, insurance, investment and interior design.

TAXATION

All landlords who are resident overseas are required to seek approval from the Inland Revenue to have their rent paid to them by the agent without tax deducted at source. This is a relatively simple procedure and we can handle the processing of this application for you. A booklet and further information are available on request.
